Ah, the never-ending question…what to buy for the dad who has everything?!
For something that lasts longer than chocolate, perhaps even longer than socks, why not give him a skill for life – cooking? You can either book him on to a specific class or buy a gift voucher so he can book himself on a course of his choosing.
We’ve rounded up some of our classes to make the decision easier:
For the chocolate lover – Chocolate Making class
Cookery School has always used the finest chocolate so after a light brekkie, dad will be treated to a chocolate tasting, which will include top brands such as Original Beans, Amadei and Valrhona as well as some of the more popular but more adulterated brands to understand what makes for the best chocolate. He will then go on to learn to temper chocolate, make truffles, ganache, shaped and filled chocolates and plenty more. The day includes a lovely Cookery School lunch.
For the BBQ king – Sausage Making class
Not only can Dad be chief barbecuer but make his very own sausages too! From boerewors to merguez, he will learn to fill, shape and cook sausages from around the world, all made with organic meat, before sitting down to enjoy them with a beer.
For the meat lover – The Ultimate Meat & Poultry class
If dad is a serious carnivore, our Ultimate Meat & Poultry class will be right up his street. After breakfast he will learn to select and prepare a range of organic meat and choose the most appropriate cooking cooking method for each. Once all the cooking is done, the class will gather around the Cookery School table to enjoy a feast with matched wines.
For the brunch lover – Eggs class
If dad’s always the first one up on a Saturday morning, whipping up a fry up for the family, we’ll show him some tips and tricks to make all kinds of different eggs and expand his repertoire.
