How Do I Enrol?

To apply for the Cook’s Certificate download and complete our enrolment form and return it to info@cookeryschool.co.uk.

What Does it Cost and How do I Pay?

The cost of the course is £7,500 (including VAT).  A non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the enrolment stage. The outstanding cost will be due four weeks before the Cook’s Certificate start date. No hidden extras. We do offer a payment plan where you can pay in instalments – phone us for more details.

What if English isn’t My First language?

Students must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

What Should I Wear?

In the kitchen, students will be required to wear chef’s trousers and jackets, aprons and flat, comfortable shoes. Cookery School will provide fresh aprons each day.

Equipment

We provide the use of all knives and equipment.  However, you can purchase Wusthof knives from us directly for your own home use.  Wusthof are the knives we use and recommend.

Will there be Homework?

Students will be required to do additional out of hours work to consolidate their learning. They will be set regular homework, from finding recipes to writing and pricing menus. Homework will not be set on the WSET days due to the extended hours in order to incorporate the wine certificate. Each of the wine sessions will run on later than 4pm for three of the course duration days.

How am I Assessed?

Students must attend 95% of the classes in order to qualify to pass the course. Students will be continuously assessed and teachers will give feedback throughout the course. Practical assessments will take place in weeks 2, 4 and 5 and a written assessment in week 6 for the WSET exam.
