DEATH BY CHOCOLATE
On arrival you will enjoy Cookery School nibbles with a glass of wine to set you up for a chocolate lover’s dream class. The session will start with a demonstration of how to make the lightest of chocolate sponge cakes filled with whipped cream and cherries and finished with a dark chocolate ganache to be enjoyed with a our special Hasbeans coffee at the end of the class.
A tasting of some of our favourite chocolate provides an understanding of the chocolate making process, makes sense of chocolate labelling and best of all, introduces you to a range of different and wonderful chocolate brands, such as Duffy’s, Original Beans, Amadei and Valrhona. You will learn the basics of chocolate making, from understanding how to make a good ganache through to essential elements of tempering chocolate.
You will take home with you all the recipes from the day, a box of homemade truffles, discs and rochers to enjoy as a reminder of how easy chocolate making is when the fundamental techniques are understood.
